Zu Schwer (too heavy!)

Liam had a fantastic day today. After his stomach virus a couple days ago he has been a very sweet and cheerful kid. The weather had been fantastic the past few days with temperatures in the low 70s (20s Celsius) with bright sunshine. This time of the year is especially nice because the mosquitoes aren't out yet. We have spent a lot of time outside enjoying the Spring-like weather after, what has been, a cold winter (by Virginia standards).

Liam wanted to help Tobias with yard work today. Now that Liam has entered the 'mein!' (mine) phase, everything outside is his. The leaves were his, the rake was his, Papi was his. Here is a video from this afternoon. Liam wanted to pick up the leaf-blower but it was too heavy. (Translation for English speakers - 'schwer' in German is 'heavy.')

MEIN!
When Liam put on Tobias gloves he said, 'Papi baseball'.
We aren't sure where that came from. Probably Caillou.
